Bing Edwards
Partner
Bing Edwards founded Fortif Law Partners after 18 years at a larger Birmingham law firm because he wanted to build a different kind of practice.
The idea was simple but important: A law firm should be organized around strengthening clients, not around feeding departments, filling quotas, or putting names on the door. Fortif was built to give clients experienced judgment, collaborative problem-solving, and practical counsel from lawyers who stay close to the matter.
Since founding Fortif in 2017, Bing has helped grow the firm from one lawyer into a team serving companies, founders, foundations, utilities, research parks, economic development organizations, and families across Alabama and the Southeast. His work spans corporate transactions, capital strategy, economic development, real estate, startup funding, public policy, and strategic planning.
