Gunnar Bowles is a Birmingham, Alabama attorney and a proud graduate of The University of Alabama School of Law. Before joining Fortif Law Partners in 2025, Gunnar built extensive experience at one of the largest law firms in the United States, where he represented a wide range of clients across the corporate, nonprofit, and healthcare sectors.

Today, Gunnar helps clients navigate complex legal and regulatory matters with practical judgment, clear communication, and a client-centered approach. His practice spans corporate law, regulatory compliance, economic development, healthcare law, and nonprofit representation. He regularly advises businesses, nonprofit entities, healthcare operators, utility providers, and economic development stakeholders on complicated legal issues, including work on one of the largest economic development projects in Alabama history.

Gunnar and his family have proudly called Birmingham home since 2019. Outside the office, he can often be found spending time with his wife and two children or out on the golf course.
