Jennifer Vernon is a Strategic Consultant at Fortif Advisors, bringing deep expertise in economic development, ecosystem alignment, and organizational excellence. Her past clients include communities, states, nonprofits, university systems, and utilities across nearly 20 states, as well as a global membership association. She brings perspective that is both nationally informed and locally grounded.

Prior to joining Fortif, Jennifer served as a Senior Manager at EY, where she and her team were charged with scaling a national economic development practice. Before that, she was a Senior Consultant at Avalanche Consulting and led global marketing, strategy, and operations for the Upstate SC Alliance, a 10-county regional economic development organization representing the Greenville-Spartanburg area. She also worked to promote international trade in her home state of Mississippi, reflecting a career-long commitment to building stronger economies.

Jennifer lives in the Birmingham region with her husband and son.
