Jonathan Murphy

Jonathan joined Fortif in 2018 and is passionate about helping businesses and nonprofits grow as they navigate each phase of their development. He represents a diverse set of clients ranging from large corporations and startups to private foundations and public charities. His practice covers a variety of areas including corporate law, intellectual property, nonprofit law, and economic and community development law.

Prior to practicing law, Jonathan was the founder and director of an international nonprofit that partnered with community leaders to deliver adult education and economic development opportunities in rural communities throughout Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he lived for nearly five years.

Jonathan lives in Birmingham with his wife, son, and two dogs.
